HemogloBind

Plasmid Vectors for in Vivo Selection-Free Use with the Probiotic E. coli Nissle 1917

Removal and Capture of Hemoglobin HemogloBind ™

  • Has a high degree of specificity for haemoglobin binding up to 10 mg / ml
  • Applications in blood substitutes, enzyme recovery and analytical interference
  • Eliminates haemoglobin of any species, including humans, sheep, cattle, goats, etc.
  • Eliminates haemoglobin from organs, tissues.
  • Removal of haemoglobin from red blood cell lysate for proteomics and biomarker drug discovery
  • The flow through the fractions retains their enzymatic and biological activity.
  • Flow fractions are compatible with LC-MS, activity-based protein profiling, and proteomic studies.

HemogloBind ™ comes from a class of solid-phase or surface-based elastomeric polyelectrolyte surfaces that bind proteins through empirically derived chemistry that combines elements of polymer composition, crosslinking architecture, and charge properties. HemogloBind ™ is designed for a high degree of selectivity and does not cross-react with the most common components in serum, making it an excellent tool in many applications.

These include analytical protocols where optical interference is problematic, such as bilirubin analysis and clarification of bulk serum. Haemoglobin variants, as in thalassemia, bind with a differential affinity for HemogloBind ™. For haemoglobin purification and/or analysis, the moderate elevation of pH will facilitate desorption of haemoglobin bound to HemogloBind ™.

NuGel ™ HemogloBind ™ has a similar separation performance but is supplied as a dry powder, rather than a liquid suspension. NuGel-Haemoglobin ™ has been redesigned to increase stability. It is based on NuGel ™ silica (50 microns in size, 1000Å) covalently bonded to elastomeric polyelectrolytes. It binds> 95% of the haemoglobin in the blood. NuGel-Haemoglobin ™ Features: Hemoglobin Capture Reagent from Blood and Hemolyzed Serum with NuGel ™ Matrix.

  • Has a high degree of specificity for haemoglobin binding up to 10 mg/ml
  • Eliminates haemoglobin of any species, including humans, mice, rats, sheep, cattle, goats, etc.
  • Eliminates haemoglobin from organs, tissues.
  • Removal of haemoglobin from red blood cell lysate for proteomics and biomarker drug discovery
  • The flow through the fractions (depleted haemoglobin) retains its enzymatic and biological activity.
  • Flow-through fractions (without haemoglobin) is compatible with LC-MS, activity-based protein profiling, and proteomic studies.
  • Linearly scalable up or down. Simple, high-performance automation.
